Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946 to a humble family of 12 children later on, realized early that she was able to escape her hardships through a imaginative mind. Her songs were written before she could write or read. When she got her first instrument at age of 8, she began performing on local radio stations from Knoxville in Tennessee. The same year she released her first record on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. Even though she became popular in the local scene while she was at High School, she knew her goals were greater. She relocated to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner's syndicated TV show needed an additional singer around this time. Parton was hired in the year 1966. She joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974 as her solo albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it climbed to Number. 1 for the first time in 1974.
